The Power of Being Together

Every Sabbath evening after dinner, the female students in our Zion with the cleaning. We sort out the recyclables and take out the trash, and scrub the kitchen floor with steel wool. After working hard, we often get tired, and in the summer, we end up drenched in sweat. At times like these, the sisters always say,

“We must have stored up lots of rewards in heaven today!”

One day, a thought crossed my mind.

“Would I be able to say that so joyfully if I were doing this alone?”

Perhaps this is the power of being together. I am grateful for the sisters by my side, who always lift my spirits with their positive words. Their example inspires me to serve with the same joyful heart, believing that everything we do in Zion will become a reward in heaven.

No matter what I do in Zion, I am happy because I have brothers and sisters by my side. To the sisters who always bring me joy with your positive words—thank you!
