God Who is Quiet in His Love

It was a cold winter day. During a Bible study with the Student Group, our guidance teacher reminded us that every word of God is meant for each one of us. Then the teacher shared the following passage:

“. . . He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you [He will rejoice over you with joy, He will be quiet in His love, NASB] but will rejoice over you with singing.”Zep 3:17

The passage saying that God rejoices over me with joy and is quiet in His love melted my heart, which had grown cold. Hidden within that passage was the quiet love of our Heavenly Father and Mother. I came to realize that Their love is woven not only throughout the Bible, which They gave for the salvation of mankind, but also throughout the Truth Books written line by line by our Heavenly Father and the words of blessing our Heavenly Mother gives us.

After the Bible study, I went home and opened one of the Truth Books. This time, it felt completely different. In every sentence, I could feel Father’s love. From now on, I will listen to and read the words filled with the love of our Heavenly Father and Mother each day, taking them to heart.
