Committing to God Whatever I Do

Fulfilling our responsibilities as students and living according to our beliefs without being swayed by our surroundings is not always easy. And when the results don’t turn out well, it’s natural to feel discouraged and drained.
“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans. . . . In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.”Proverbs 16:3–9
The Israelites spent forty long years walking through the wilderness before entering Canaan. This was because God was leading them along a safer and better path. After those forty years, when they reached Jericho—the first city in Canaan—God did not command them to attack with weapons. Instead, He told them to march around the city for seven days. Then, in a way no one could have imagined, the walls of Jericho fell.

Even when the process or the outcome doesn’t go the way I expect, I want to trust that God is leading me along a better path. Instead of giving in to disappointment or giving up, I choose to place everything in God’s hands and follow wherever He guides me.
