When Obstacles Seem Huge

I’m terrible at drawing. My art grades never seem to improve. Hoping to get better, I searched online for tips and discovered that simply applying the rules of perspective can make a drawing look much better.

Perspective is a technique that helps a two-dimensional drawing to reflect the depth and distance we see in three dimensions. In a perspective drawing, an object closer to the viewer—like a cat—can appear larger than one farther away—like a tiger—even though in reality, the tiger is much bigger.

As I continued reading, it suddenly struck me that faith works the same way. On the path of faith, obstacles often feel enormous, and heaven can seem impossibly far away. But just as a cat can appear larger than a tiger in a drawing, the challenges we face are small—mere pebbles on the road—when compared to the glory of heaven.

So instead of hesitating in the face of obstacles, I will fix my eyes on God’s blessings and continue walking faithfully along the path of faith, trusting in His promise of abundant blessings.
